About the artist
evergreen.egle.jwlr is a jewelry brand founded by Eglė Mykolaitytė, whose passion for jewelry stemmed from her history studies during her bachelor's degree. Fascinated by metal's enduring nature as a medium of knowledge and messages, she honed her metalworking skills in Santiago, Chile. Later self-taught wax sculpting, lost wax, and water casting techniques, which became a big part of how she designs now.
The author exclusively works with natural beeswax, allowing its subtle, earthy scent to infuse her creations. “To say that nature inspires me is like saying I enjoy breathing in my free time. I am nature, and my work is simply an expression of my relationship with my surroundings,” she says.
The name of the brand holds a part of its creator. "Eglė" translates to "fir tree" in Lithuanian—a tree that remains evergreen, symbolizing lasting vitality.
Eglė continues to refine her craft in Lithuania, working from her home studio in Naujamiestis. She is also practicing with the legendary jeweller Kazimieras Simanonis, learning advanced metal manipulation and his personal techniques in his Užupis studio.
Passionate about collaboration, Eglė enjoys working with diverse artists to enrich her creative journey. She is currently preparing for her debut exhibition, set to open in September, with support from the Lithuanian Cultural Council.
